I’m a senior in college.
Senior. In. College.
And in an effort to avoid the overly nostalgic “I’m never going to be able to live this kind of life again” lament over the end of my college years, I think I’m just going to say this: you gave me one hell of a Halloweekend, Assumption College, so thank you for making this mother of all first semester weekends so, so rad.
And what is a collegiate Halloweekend without some pretty awesome costumes? Here’s my pretty nifty handiwork (some very last minute) from this weekend.
Yes, I was a pumpkin, and I’m pretty freakin’ proud of it! I’d been wanting to do this costume since freshman year, but it never really materialized, so to say I was pumped about this one is a bit of an understatement.
T-shirt: AC Moore (hand-painted by moi)
Skirt: H&M (years and years ago)
Sneaks: Converse (again, years and years ago)
Hey, 5J! Pictured here is me and the roomies, all ready to head out on campus. We’ve got a lax bro from Kourtnie, Marilyn Monroe from Jenny, Audrey Hepburn from Nicole, “teen agnst/your middle school away message/your MySpace song” from me, a Greek goddess from Jenna, and a baby from Ericka!
Crop top: Forever21
Over the knee socks: Delia*s
It’s like I was being called back to the mother ship by dressing up as a ski racer! Definitely the most fun (and least expensive) of my Halloween costumes this year.
Hat: keepsake from a ski race from when I was little
Boots: L.L. Bean
And super extra bonus…
What a good-lookin’ family, huh? Sunday morning I drove back up to New Hampshire for family brunch to celebrate my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary. Shout out to them for being so awesome at being in love!
